Shop Khaata ("we", "us") is a service of Moksh Micrologic Tech Pvt Ltd, available at shopkhaata.com and app.shopkhaata.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use Shop Khaata, how we use it and the choices you have. By using Shop Khaata you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account information, such as your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored in a protected, one-way form, never as typed.
• Information from Google, if you choose to sign in with Google: your name, email address and Google account identifier.
• Content you add, such as shop names, bills, items, amounts, discounts, GST, categories, budgets, payment accounts, bill photos and the people you invite.
• Technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and pages visited. We use it to keep the service secure and to understand how it is used.

How we use information

• To provide, maintain and improve Shop Khaata, including suggestions based on your own shop's past entries.
• To create and secure your account, and to prevent fraud, spam and abuse.
• To send service emails, such as sign-up codes, invitations and password resets.
• To respond to your questions and requests.
• To comply with the law.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show advertising.

Google user data

If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name, email address and Google account identifier. We use them only to create your account and sign you in. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it or transfer it to others except as needed to provide the service or required by law, and we do not use it to train artificial intelligence models. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Sharing

• Your team. People you invite to a shop can see that shop's records and the names and email addresses of others in it.
• Service providers who help us run Shop Khaata, such as hosting, storage, email delivery, security and analytics providers. They process information only on our behalf.
• Legal reasons, when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
• Business changes, if Shop Khaata is merged, sold or reorganised, subject to this policy.

Your information may be stored and processed outside India by our service providers.

Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and similar storage that are needed to keep you signed in and to remember your settings, such as your selected shop or a bill you have not saved yet. We may also collect cookie-free usage statistics. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, and as required by law. Deleted entries can be restored for a limited time and are then removed. Backups are kept for a limited period.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can update your name in the app. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to close your account, by contacting us. We will respond as required by applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Children

Shop Khaata is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and change the date above. Continuing to use Shop Khaata means you accept the updated policy.
